Crypto Roundup: Morpho Raises $175M, Bitcoin Dips Below $63K

DeFi lending protocol Morpho secured $175M in funding from Paradigm, a16z Crypto, and Ribbit Capital. The capital will support further development of its lending platform.

Separately, wallets tied to Humanity Protocol lost more than $36M in an apparent drain. Zcash developers finalized consensus changes for the upcoming Ironwood network upgrade.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs saw another $91.4M in outflows as selling pressure pushed BTC below $63K after a brief rebound. Japanese bank SBI announced plans to launch a cryptocurrency rewards program for depositors.

In other developments, Zodia Markets obtained an EU license to provide regulated stablecoin services. Starknet activated STRK20, enabling private balances and transfers for ERC20 assets. GSR cleared a regulatory hurdle with FINRA approval for its acquisition of Equilibrium Capital Services. Venture firm ANTIK established an ENA position and plans to use staked USDe through Ethena's strategy. Former SEC commissioner Michael Piwowar joined the board of Backpack US.
