Charles Schwab Q2 Profit Tops Estimates as Client Assets Surge

Charles Schwab reported Q2 adjusted earnings of $1.62 per share, beating the $1.55 estimate. Revenue came in at $7.07B above expectations, and total client assets rose 22% to $13.08T.

Charles Schwab posted better-than-expected Q2 results on Tuesday. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $1.62, versus the $1.55 consensus, while GAAP EPS was $1.54. Revenue reached $7.07 billion, ahead of the $6.92 billion estimate.

Net interest revenue was $3.36 billion, topping the $3.3 billion forecast. The brokerage added 1.39 million new accounts, above the 1.28 million expected. Core net new assets totaled $120 billion, surpassing the $111.13 billion estimate.

Total client assets hit a record $13.08 trillion, up 22% year over year. Bank deposits came in at $249.7 billion, slightly below the $252.22 billion estimate.
