According to the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders report, currency speculators showed renewed bearishness towards the Japanese yen and the euro, rebuilding net short positions. Meanwhile, traders maintained selling pressure on the Australian dollar.

In contrast, the British pound saw continued position covering, suggesting a reduction of prior bearish bets. The report highlighted a clear shift in crude oil futures, where West Texas Intermediate (WTI) experienced a sharp bullish reversal. Both positioning and price moved decisively higher, marking the week's cleanest positive turn.
