AUD/USD Slides as Australian Job Ads Drop in June

The Australian Dollar fell against the US Dollar after ANZ–Indeed Job Ads data showed a decline in June, reinforcing expectations of a cooling labor market.

AUDUSD

The Australian Dollar (AUD) edged lower on Tuesday, with AUD/USD trading near 0.6950 in Asian hours, snapping a two-day winning streak.

Downside pressure followed the release of the ANZ–Indeed Job Ads report for June, which indicated a drop in job postings. The data adds to signs that the labour market is softening under the weight of high borrowing costs, further dampening economic sentiment.

Traders are now watching for any additional cues from the Reserve Bank of Australia or broader risk sentiment that could steer the currency.
