US stock heatmap
US stocks and ETFs grouped by sector and sized by turnover. Colour is the price move over a day or a week. Each tile is the Binance perpetual contract on that stock, the same instrument you open in the terminal.
These are Binance perpetual contracts, not the exchange-listed shares. They trade 24/7, and outside US exchange hours they move on thin volume. 米国の取引所の現在の状態:プレマーケット。
How to read the map
Area is the turnover of the Binance contract over the last 24 hours, and a sector gets the sum of its tiles. That measures where traders on Binance are busy today, not how large the company is: on a news day a contract on a mid-size memory maker can trade more than the one on Apple.
Colour is the move over the selected window, in five steps per side, on the same scale as the crypto map. Anything inside a fifth of a percent stays neutral.
Why a contract and not the share price
The map shows the price you chart and trade in the terminal. A perpetual contract follows the stock through an index of market quotes, but it never closes: at night and on weekends it keeps trading while the exchange is shut, so after a weekend the contract can already sit far from Friday's close before the stock opens. The line above the map says which US session is running right now.
How sectors are assigned
Binance publishes only the ticker, so the sector comes from our own directory: the eleven GICS sectors plus ordinary ETFs. A ticker we have not classified yet, or are unsure about, goes to Other and keeps its ticker as the label instead of a guessed company name.
Where do the numbers come from
Price, the 24-hour move and turnover come from Binance's public ticker for its stock perpetuals, the weekly move from daily bars that refresh every hour. The snapshot is rebuilt every minute and needs no account.
Why does the map move when the US market is closed
The contracts trade around the clock, the shares do not. Outside the regular session the price follows pre-market, after-hours and overnight trading, and on weekends it moves on Binance volume alone. Read weekend colour as sentiment on Binance, not as a move in the stock.
Why are TQQQ and SOXL not on the map
Leveraged and inverse ETFs are left out on purpose. They are among the most traded contracts on Binance, and sized by turnover they would cover much of the map with a multiple of moves that are already on it.
Can I put this map on my site
Yes. The stock map ships in the market heatmap widget: choose US stocks in the widget gallery, in either theme.
