The Canadian dollar strengthened against its US counterpart on Monday, pushing USD/CAD to around 1.3970 during Asian trading. The pair reversed two days of gains, under downward pressure from a broad US dollar sell-off.
The greenback fell broadly as market risk appetite improved, reducing safe-haven demand. The move leaves USD/CAD subject to further downside if the dollar weakness persists.
