USD/CAD Holds Tight Range Near 1.4200 Ahead of US NFP

USD/CAD traded flat around 1.4210 on Thursday, remaining in a narrow range for over a week as traders await the US Nonfarm Payrolls report.

USDCAD

The USD/CAD pair traded flat near 1.4210 during the European session on Thursday, extending its sideways movement for over a week. The Loonie pair has remained confined to a tight range around the 1.4200 level, with market participants lacking fresh catalysts.

Investors are now focused on the upcoming US Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) data, which may provide direction for the pair. A strong NFP print could boost the US dollar, potentially pushing USD/CAD higher, while a weak report could weigh on the greenback.

No notable economic releases from Canada are scheduled, leaving the pair's short-term trajectory dependent on US labor market figures. Technical indicators suggest a neutral bias, with resistance near 1.4250 and support around 1.4150.
