US semiconductor ETFs $SMH and $SOXX recorded the largest combined weekly inflow on record last week, drawing +$4.7 billion. This exceeds the previous weekly record by approximately $1.8 billion, or about 62%.
In early June, half of the most-traded ETFs were related to semiconductor stocks. The semiconductor index $SOX has surged +90% year-to-date, massively outperforming other sectors. The rally in semiconductors is described as unprecedented.
