Stellantis to Install Solar Power at Two-Thirds of Its Factories, Plans Battery Storage at 20 Sites
Stellantis is expanding its renewable energy footprint in Europe by installing solar power at two-thirds of its factories and planning battery energy storage systems at 20 locations, with seven plants expected to be active by 2026.
Stellantis is accelerating its decarbonization efforts in Europe by rolling out solar power installations at two-thirds of its manufacturing plants. The automaker is also moving forward with a plan to deploy battery energy storage systems across 20 locations.
According to the announcement, seven of those battery storage sites are scheduled to become operational by 2026. The initiative is part of Stellantis's broader strategy to reduce its carbon footprint and increase the use of renewable energy in its production processes.
