NZD/USD Rises on Hawkish RBNZ Hike, Tests 0.5710-0.5715

The NZD/USD pair extended gains after the RBNZ delivered its first rate hike in three years, reclaiming the 0.5700 level and approaching a key resistance zone at 0.5710-0.5715.

The New Zealand dollar strengthened against the US dollar following the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's first interest rate hike in three years. The NZD/USD pair reclaimed the 0.5700 mark during Asian trading and is now testing a confluence of resistance around 0.5710-0.5715.

Market participants are interpreting the RBNZ's hawkish move as a signal that tighter monetary policy may continue, supporting the kiwi. The pair's ability to break above the 0.5710-0.5715 zone could open the door for further upside, while failure might lead to a pullback toward the 0.5680 support area.
