Leaked Suno Code Shows Millions of Tracks Downloaded for AI Training

A leaked Suno source code reveals logs of over 2 million clips from YouTube Music being used to train its AI, potentially strengthening copyright claims by music labels.

A leaked code repository from Suno, the AI music generation platform, contains evidence of widespread music scraping for training purposes. One file logs 2,013,545 clips downloaded from YouTube Music. Other referenced platforms include Deezer, Pond5, and Genius.

The leak could bolster the case of record labels that have accused Suno of using copyrighted recordings without permission. Suno confirmed the breach but stated that the stolen code mostly involved outdated files and that no sensitive personal data was compromised.
