Japanese Yen Near Year-to-Date Lows Again Near 163.00

The Japanese yen continues to trade defensively against the US dollar, lingering near year-to-date lows just below the 163.00 level.

USDJPY

The Japanese yen (JPY) remains under pressure versus the US dollar, hovering near its weakest levels of the year. The pair is trading just below the 163.00 mark, testing a key psychological resistance zone.

Market participants continue to monitor the interest rate differential between the Bank of Japan and the Federal Reserve, which keeps the yen on the back foot. No new catalyst has emerged to reverse the downtrend, and the currency remains close to its year-to-date low.
