Iran President Calls Trump's Infrastructure Threats a Sign of Desperation

Iranian President Pezeshkian responded to President Trump's threats to target Iranian infrastructure, calling the threats a sign of desperation and vowing national unity against any pressure.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian fired back at President Donald Trump's recent warnings of potential strikes on Iranian infrastructure, describing the threats as a show of weakness rather than strength.

In a statement released Sunday, Pezeshkian said, "Critical infrastructures are the lifeblood of the people. Threats to target them, from transportation networks to the electricity and water industries, are not a show of strength but a sign of desperation in the face of a nation's will."

He emphasized Iran's reliance on its specialists, national unity and solidarity to stand firm against any external pressure or threat. The exchange follows heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran over the Islamic Republic's nuclear program and regional activities.
