Euro Slides Despite Strong Eurozone PMI Data

EUR/USD trades lower near 1.1370 on Friday, struggling even after Eurozone business activity figures beat expectations. The US Dollar Index remains firmer near 101.50, limiting upside for the pair.

EURUSD

The euro weakened against the US dollar on Friday, with EUR/USD slipping to the 1.1370 area. This comes despite stronger-than-expected Eurozone PMI figures, which ordinarily would lend support to the single currency.

Instead, the greenback's strength kept the pair under pressure. The US Dollar Index (DXY) held firm near 101.50, capping any upside for the euro.
