Dow Jones Tracks Chip Rebound but CPI Looms

The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded nearly unchanged in European afternoon trading, with futures hovering around 50,750 after an overnight rally from 50,500 to 51,000 faded. Focus shifts to upcoming CPI data that could spoil the chip-driven rebound.

DJIA

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was little changed in European afternoon trade, with futures hovering near 50,750 after an overnight session that saw the index climb from a low close to 50,500 up to the 51,000 line before pulling back.

The minor gains tracked a broader chip sector rebound, but traders are now eyeing upcoming US CPI data that could cap further upside. Any upside surprise in inflation may reinforce expectations of tighter monetary policy, potentially spoiling the recent recovery in risk assets.
