Dollar-Yen Declines from 40-Year High as Yen Strengthens

USD/JPY eased about 0.1% on Thursday, trading just below 162.50 after pulling back from four-decade highs, with the yen showing strength amid Tokyo's silence.

USDJPY

The Japanese yen finally pushed back against the dollar on Thursday, with the USD/JPY pair easing approximately 0.1% to trade just below 162.50. This pullback follows a fade from the four-decade highs printed earlier in the session.

Tokyo officials have remained silent on the move, leaving markets to interpret the yen's gains as a natural correction rather than intervention. The pair's retreat signals a potential shift in momentum after the prolonged dollar rally against the yen.
