Balchunas: Tech ETF Inflows Top $100B as AI-Fund Wave Looms

Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas expects a surge in AI, semiconductor and memory-themed ETF launches, pushing tech ETFs past 500 and year-to-date inflows beyond $100 billion.

Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst Eric Balchunas has predicted a wave of new exchange-traded funds focused on artificial intelligence, semiconductors and memory chips. According to Balchunas, the influx of these products could push the total number of tech-related ETFs above 500.

The sector has already attracted more than $100 billion in year-to-date inflows, underscoring strong investor appetite for technology exposure. Balchunas made the remarks as ETF issuers continue to file for thematic funds that target specific sub-sectors within the technology industry.
