AUD/USD Slides for Eighth Consecutive Day on Labor Data

The Australian dollar extended its decline against the US dollar for an eighth straight session, trading near 0.6900 after domestic labor market data weighed on the currency.

AUDUSD

AUD/USD traded around 0.6900 during Asian hours on Thursday, marking its eighth consecutive session of decline. The pair remained under pressure following the release of Australian labor market data, which failed to provide support for the currency.

Traders digested the employment figures as the Australian dollar continues its losing streak. The data did little to reverse the recent downtrend, leaving the pair subdued in early trading.

No immediate catalysts were identified to shift sentiment, with the market focus remaining on the broader risk environment and relative monetary policy expectations.
