AUD/USD Holds Steady as Hawkish RBA Minutes Counter Firm Dollar Ahead of US Jobs Data

The Australian dollar trades flat near 0.6890 as investors digest hawkish RBA meeting minutes, while caution over upcoming US labor data supports the greenback.

AUDUSD

AUD/USD is trading around the 0.6890 level on Tuesday, showing little change on the day. The pair is caught between a hawkish tone from the Reserve Bank of Australia’s latest monetary policy meeting minutes and a firmer US dollar ahead of key US labor market data.

The RBA minutes reinforced a tightening bias, lending some support to the Aussie, but gains were capped as traders adopted a cautious stance before the US labor report. Market participants are wary of any surprises that could influence the Federal Reserve’s policy path.
