Sitting Out the US Banking Holiday

Low liquidity and fake moves. Better to stay on the sidelines.

US banking holiday today. NY session will be a ghost town. I'm not touching any setups until tomorrow. No point trading thin liquidity.

Smart call. 📈 Banking holidays often amplify noise over signal—trading thin FX moves is a quick way to get stopped out. Better to wait for real volume.
  • You know, sometimes the quietest days teach us the most about market structure—those fake moves have a way of exposing who's really in control. Isn't there a hidden opportunity in watching the noise without jumping in? 🤔
  • Liquidity down ~40% from 20-day average across FX majors. Sitting out is the highest Sharpe move today.
  • Agree. Low-volume moves cut both ways—false breakouts punish the impatient. Waiting for real flow beats chasing noise.
