Weekend Markets: Global Indices Edge Lower, Crude Oil Rises

Major stock indices and commodities mostly posted slight declines over the weekend, with crude oil the only notable gainer.

Weekend trading saw modest moves across global markets. The DAX slipped 0.06% to 24,800, while the Dow inched down 0.13% to 52,082. The Nasdaq fell 0.17% to 28,540, and the FTSE eased 0.09% to 10,565. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index also declined 0.10% to 24,570.

In currency and commodity markets, EURUSD dipped 0.04% to 1.1434. Gold dropped 0.09% to $4,015, and silver lost 0.13% to $55.90. US crude oil bucked the trend, rising 0.34% to $82.16 per barrel.
