USD/JPY Pares Losses, Eases from Two-Year High Near 161.00

The USD/JPY pair eased to near 161.00 on Friday, pulling back from a two-year high of 161.81 as US Dollar momentum fades despite a hawkish Fed stance.

USDJPY

The USD/JPY pair traded near 161.00 on Friday, easing slightly after reaching a two-year high of 161.81 on Thursday. This pulled the pair back from a five-day winning streak for the US Dollar (USD).

The Japanese Yen (JPY) remains fragile amid mounting pressure over possible new intervention by authorities. The move lower comes despite a still-hawkish stance from the Federal Reserve, which has supported the greenback in recent sessions.
