Trump Says 'Not Much Time' for Iran Talks, Warns of 'Strong Military Action'; Oil Nears $84

President Trump warned that he would resort to “very strong military action” if Iran negotiations fail and gave only a short window for diplomacy, as US oil prices climbed toward $84 per barrel.

Speaking on Iran, President Trump told reporters that the US is engaged in “very deep talks” with Tehran, but warned, “if they don’t work out, we will go back to very strong military action.”

When asked how long diplomacy would be given, Trump said “not much time,” signaling a rapidly closing window for a negotiated solution.

Trump added that he decided to pause planned military strikes last Friday after mediating countries urged him to give negotiations another chance.

US oil prices are now trading near $84 per barrel, reflecting market jitters over the rising geopolitical risk in the Middle East.
