Trump Calls for Immediate Gasoline Price Cuts, Targets $2.50/Gallon

President Trump demands gasoline retailers slash prices immediately, citing oil at $68/barrel and declining, and warns of consequences if they fail to act.

President Trump posted on Truth Social calling on gasoline retailers to immediately reduce pump prices, noting that oil is currently at $68 per barrel and falling. He set a target of $2.50 per gallon and warned of "big problems" for retailers who do not comply, labeling price gouging as "totally illegal."

Trump also criticized California for excessive fuel taxes, stating that the tax will soon surpass the cost of the product itself.
