NZD/USD Edges Up but Struggles to Extend Gains as USD Remains Strong

The NZD/USD pair ticked higher in Asian trading on Friday, recovering from a one-and-a-half-week low near 0.5760, but failed to sustain momentum amid broad US dollar strength.

NZDUSD

The New Zealand dollar managed to attract some buying interest during the Asian session on Friday, lifting NZD/USD away from the previous week's trough around 0.5760. However, the recovery lacked conviction as the US dollar held firm on the back of hawkish Fed expectations and resilient US data.

Without a clear catalyst to push the pair higher, the rebound appears tentative. Traders are now watching for further directional cues from next week's economic releases, including US inflation figures and RBNZ commentary.
