Iran War Reprieve Remains Highly Uncertain, Energy Supply Risks Persist

The temporary lull in Iran-related hostilities is fragile, with crude supply and refinery concerns still in focus. Europe could face energy shortfalls this winter if tensions flare again.

The current calm in the Iran conflict provides little reassurance, as conditions remain deeply uncertain. Any perceived reprieve could quickly unravel, keeping markets on edge.

Worries extend beyond crude oil supply disruptions to include refinery processing capacity. Damage to infrastructure or further escalation could tighten product markets alongside actual crude flows.

Europe, already navigating a delicate energy balance, may encounter renewed problems this winter. A breakdown of the ceasefire would easily push background geopolitical risks to the forefront, reigniting supply fears.
