Iran Urges Israel to Withdraw from Lebanese Territories

In a phone call with Lebanon's Parliament Speaker, Iran's top negotiator Mohammad Qalibaf stated that Israel must withdraw from what he termed "the occupied areas" in Lebanon. He also emphasized that the people of southern Lebanon should be allowed to return to their homes.
The statement signals continued tensions between Iran and its proxies on one side and Israel on the other. No immediate response from Israeli officials has been reported.
