Iran Speaker: US, Israel Assets Legitimate Targets After Beirut Strikes

Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf said that Israeli strikes on Beirut and the US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz make American and Israeli bases and assets in the region legitimate targets, accusing both of rejecting ceasefire and dialogue.

Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf condemned the US and Israel following Israeli airstrikes on Beirut and a US naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. In a statement today, Ghalibaf said that the two countries are "neither committed to a ceasefire nor believe in dialogue."

The remarks come after Israel launched strikes on the Lebanese capital, while the US has tightened its naval presence in the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Ghalibaf warned that these actions "turn American and Israeli bases and assets in the region into legitimate targets."

The comments signal a sharp escalation in rhetoric, raising concerns about broader regional conflict that could impact global energy markets.
