Iran Parliament Speaker Dismisses Trump's Claim on Frozen Assets

Iran's Parliament Speaker responded to President Trump's assertion that unfrozen Iranian assets would be used to buy US agricultural products, stating that the only harvest is 'decades of mistrust' planted by the US.

Iran's parliamentary leader has pushed back against a statement attributed to US President Donald Trump regarding the potential use of unfrozen Iranian assets. The speaker characterized Trump's claim as false, asserting that the funds would not be directed toward purchasing American agricultural goods.

In a pointed retort, the speaker remarked that the only crop resulting from the relationship is the deep mistrust sown by the United States over many years. He described this mistrust as "organic, abundant, and homegrown."

The exchange highlights ongoing tensions between the two nations, with the status of Iranian assets frozen abroad remaining a contentious issue in bilateral relations.
