Fed Chair Warsh Says Inflation Not Permanent

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh stated that current inflationary pressures are transitory, though he acknowledged the latest inflation readings remain elevated.

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh commented on Wednesday that the ongoing inflation surge is not expected to be permanent. He noted that the current price pressures are likely to subside over time, despite acknowledging that recent inflation data continues to show elevated levels.

The remarks come as markets closely watch central bank communication for clues on the future path of monetary policy. Warsh’s assessment suggests the Fed may not need to tighten aggressively if inflation proves temporary.
