E4 Offers Sanctions Relief for Verified Iranian Nuclear Compliance

The E4 group stated it is prepared to lift relevant sanctions if Iran takes clear and verifiable nuclear steps, while calling for the urgent reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and pledging cooperation with the US, Iran, and the IAEA.

The E4 group, referring to a coalition of European powers, announced its readiness to lift relevant sanctions on Iran conditional upon Tehran taking clear and verifiable steps in the nuclear sphere. The statement also urged the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global oil shipments.

The group further pledged to work collaboratively with the United States, Iran, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to ensure compliance and transparency. No specific timeline or further conditions were disclosed in the announcement.
