Denmark Retail Spending Nearly Flat in June, Services Soft
Denmark's retail spending excluding energy was broadly unchanged in June, rising just 0.1% month-on-month after adjusting for seasonality and prices, while the year-on-year change showed a 4.3% increase.
Denmark's total retail spending excluding energy was largely unchanged in June, according to the latest data. After seasonal and price adjustments, real spending rose a modest 0.1% compared to May.
On an annual basis, real spending was 4.3% higher than in June of the previous year. The data points to retail strength offsetting a weaker performance in the services sector during the month.
