Crypto Exchange BitMEX to Cease Operations from September 23

BitMEX, a crypto exchange that operated for over 11 years, will fully shut down from September 23. New account registrations have already been halted, and users are urged to close positions and withdraw funds.

The board of HDR Global Trading Limited, the parent company of BitMEX, has decided to permanently close the exchange effective September 23. The decision follows a strategic review of the business and the broader cryptocurrency industry.

New account registrations have been suspended immediately. Existing users are advised to close all open positions and withdraw their assets as soon as possible to avoid any disruptions.

BitMEX has been a prominent player in the crypto derivatives space for over a decade, but the closure marks the end of its operations.
