AUD/USD Softens to Near 0.7000 as US-Iran Talks Stall

The Australian Dollar weakened against the US Dollar, with AUD/USD declining to around 0.7005 in early Asian trading on Monday. Risk-off sentiment driven by stalled US-Iran peace discussions weighed on the currency pair.

The AUD/USD pair edged lower during Monday's Asian session, slipping to approximately 0.7005. The Australian Dollar came under pressure as risk aversion took hold, triggered by the lack of progress in US-Iran negotiations.

Traders are now focusing on further developments in the stalled peace talks, which could continue to influence market sentiment and the direction of the currency pair. The US Dollar strengthened broadly on safe-haven demand, adding to the downside for the Aussie.
