AUD/JPY Holds Flat After Australian Trade Data Miss

AUD/JPY traded around 112.10 during Asian hours on Thursday, recovering earlier losses as the Australian dollar showed resilience despite a significant miss in domestic trade data.

AUDJPY

The AUD/JPY cross remained flat on Thursday, recovering from earlier intraday losses to trade near 112.10 during the Asian session. The Australian dollar held its ground despite a downbeat domestic trade report.

Australia's trade balance for May came in well below market expectations, missing the consensus estimate by a wide margin. The data weighed on the Aussie briefly, but the currency managed to regain its footing against the yen, keeping the pair in a narrow range.

No further catalysts emerged during the Asian morning, leaving the cross to consolidate ahead of potential moves from broader risk sentiment or Japanese yen flows.
