One Account, Every Market: How Binance is Building a Multi-Asset Super App

Binance now offers over 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs alongside crypto, settling trades in stablecoins. It also launched tokenized bStocks for 24/7 on-chain trading, with 80% of initial volume from emerging markets.

Binance has expanded its platform to include direct trading of more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), allowing users to hold equities and cryptocurrencies in a single account. The move is part of the exchange’s broader strategy to become a multi-asset financial super app.

Stock and ETF trades on Binance settle in stablecoins — USDC, USDT, USD1, $U, or BNB — rather than fiat currency, reducing banking friction. Trading is available on a 24/5 schedule, enabling users to react to market events outside traditional exchange hours.

Alongside direct stock trading, Binance introduced bStocks, a tokenized securities product that gives on-chain access to select U.S. equities. bStocks can be traded 24/7, transferred to self-custodial wallets, and used in decentralized applications. The product is offered through an approved prospectus in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and is not available in the United States.

In its first week, over 80% of direct stock trading volume on Binance came from users in emerging-market jurisdictions, highlighting demand for access to U.S. equities via crypto-native rails. Binance reports more than 320 million registered users globally.

The company states that adding stocks and ETFs does not diminish its focus on crypto, which remains the core of its ecosystem. Binance first launched in 2017 and has since grown into a platform offering payments, social features, chat, and earning products, now expanding into traditional market assets.
