Important CEX.IO Card Update

CEX.IO has paused card payments after the Polish Financial Supervision Authority withdrew Quicko’s payment authorization. User funds remain safe, and a new card program is being arranged.

CEX.IO will suspend payments on its debit card from February 3, 2026, after the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) withdrew the license of Quicko sp. z o.o., the regulated partner that supported the current CEX.IO Card program. The KNF decision was announced on January 21, 2026.

Refunds and chargebacks will still be processed under the card scheme rules, although CEX.IO warns that processing timelines may be impacted during the program wind-down. The exchange stressed that customer account balances are unaffected and that all other platform features remain operational.

As a precautionary measure, CEX.IO has paused the onboarding and issuance of new cards under the current program. The company stated it is actively working to transition to a new card program partner and will provide instructions and timelines once finalized.

CEX.IO advised users that no immediate action is required but recommended enabling app notifications for updates. The exchange said it will resume new card onboarding when the replacement program is launched and confirmed.
