Blueberry Appoints Head of Marketing MENA Following COO Promotion

Blueberry appoints Magdy Mohamed as Head of Marketing for MENA, promotes Christopher Nelson-Smith to COO, and partners with SailGP ahead of Abu Dhabi Grand Final.

Blueberry has appointed Magdy Mohamed as Head of Marketing for the MENA region, the company announced via LinkedIn on Monday. The executive hire is part of a broader push to strengthen the broker’s regional footprint and follows a series of recent organisational and branding moves.

In addition to the marketing appointment, Blueberry promoted Christopher Nelson-Smith to Chief Operating Officer. Nelson-Smith, who previously served as Head of Trading and Operations at the firm, will now oversee day-to-day operations as the company expands its product and event sponsorship activities.

SailGP Partnership and Platform Expansion

Blueberry recently became the Official Online Trading Partner of the Bonds Flying Roos ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Final of SailGP. The multi-year partnership is designed to boost global brand visibility and support the broker’s presence at high-profile sporting events.

On the technology side, Blueberry integrated the cTrader platform through a partnership with Spotware, part of its multi-platform strategy. The move follows a recent rebrand that introduced a new logo, updated typography, and redesigned client and partner websites. The refreshed visual identity will be rolled out across trading platforms, educational materials, and social media.

Executive Background

Before joining Blueberry, Mohamed was Marketing Manager at VT Markets in Dubai for nearly two years. He also held marketing manager roles at ONEPRO in Dubai, where he handled email and digital marketing, and earlier at PU Prime in the MENA region and GTCpros. His experience spans multiple marketing functions with a focus on digital channels.

Blueberry offers trading in over 2,000 instruments, including forex, shares, commodities, indices, and cryptocurrencies, accessible through a single account. The company continues to expand its MENA operations and product suite amid a competitive brokerage landscape.
