Weekend Markets Update: Global Indices Mostly Higher, Oil Slips

Major global indices posted modest gains over the weekend, while crude oil declined sharply. The DAX, Dow, Nasdaq, FTSE, and Hang Seng each rose between 0.14% and 0.32%, with gold and silver also edging up. US crude oil fell 2.47%.

Most equity indices closed the weekend session in positive territory:

  • DAX: 24,721 (+0.18%)
  • Dow Jones: 51,341 (+0.32%)
  • Nasdaq: 29,688 (+0.14%)
  • FTSE 100: 10,488 (+0.21%)
  • Hang Seng: 24,766 (+0.19%)

Commodities were mixed:

  • Gold: 4,233 (+0.31%)
  • Silver: 6,843 (+0.54%)
  • US Crude Oil: 8,115 (−2.47%)

EURUSD was nearly flat at 1.1568 (+0.01%).
