United Overseas Bank (UOB) analyst Quek Ser Leang commented on the Japanese yen's recent movements, noting that losses are limited near the 162.75 level against the US dollar.

The analyst highlighted that USD/JPY maintains an intraday upside bias, but near-term resistance at 162.75 and the major resistance at 163.00 are not expected to be threatened.

Over a one-to-three-week horizon, the currency pair is projected to remain within a 161.30–163.00 range, signaling a lack of directional breakout for now.
