Top 10 US Stocks Reach $25.3 Trillion Market Cap, Exceeding China's GDP

The combined market capitalization of the top 10 US stocks has hit $25.3 trillion, surpassing China's GDP of $19.4 trillion and making them the second-largest stock market in the world if considered separately.

The concentration of US equity markets has reached unprecedented levels. The top 10 US stocks now have a combined market capitalization of $25.3 trillion, according to data cited by market commentator The Kobeissi Letter.

If these 10 companies were their own stock exchange, they would be the second-largest in the world, exceeding the entire Chinese stock market. Their collective value is also larger than China's GDP of $19.4 trillion, the world's second-largest economy.

Further illustrating the concentration, the top five US companies alone are worth $18.6 trillion, a sum that exceeds the total market capitalization of all stock markets outside the United States combined. These 10 stocks now represent approximately 80% of US GDP.
