Polymarket VP Denies Mandatory KYC Rumors, Says Only for Closed Beta

Polymarket VP Josh Stevens refutes rumors of mandatory KYC verification, stating it is only required for participants in a closed beta of a new product and will be removed upon full release.

Polymarket's Vice President of Software Development, Josh Stevens, dismissed speculation that the platform would introduce mandatory KYC verification. In a statement, he clarified that identity checks will only be required for users involved in a closed beta test of a new product, not for the main platform.

Stevens emphasized that the company has no plans to abandon its anonymous trading model. Once the new service is fully launched, KYC requirements will be removed entirely, he added.
