Nvidia AI Chips Selling at Double Price on China’s Black Market

A report indicates that Nvidia’s restricted AI accelerators are being resold for up to twice their original price on China’s black market, signaling persistent demand despite U.S. export controls.

According to reports, Nvidia's advanced AI chips that are subject to U.S. export restrictions are appearing on China's black market at prices up to double their official retail cost. The inflated pricing reflects sustained demand from Chinese companies needing high-performance hardware for AI model training and deployment.

Despite tighter U.S. export controls aimed at limiting China's access to cutting-edge semiconductors, the black market activity suggests that alternative supply channels remain active. Nvidia accelerators, which are critical for large-scale AI workloads, continue to be sought after in the region.
