The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has dismissed a recently announced shipping corridor through the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that it was established without coordination with Tehran. The IRGC stated that only routes designated by Iran are authorized for transit.
Ships were instructed to maintain contact with the IRGC Navy on maritime Channel 16. The IRGC warned that vessels using unauthorized routes could face enforcement measures, raising the risk of interceptions or other actions.
