Gold Weekly Forecast: Sell-off Intensifies, $4,000 at Risk

Gold (XAU/USD) edged higher early in the week before turning sharply lower, falling below $4,000 to its lowest level since November. Although it found a foothold, the metal ended the week deep in negative territory, with the sell-off intensifying and putting the $4,000 handle at risk.

XAUUSD

Gold (XAU/USD) started the week with a slight uptick before reversing sharply. The precious metal plunged below the $4,000 mark, reaching its lowest point since November. Despite attempting to stabilize, gold struggled to mount a significant recovery and closed the week in deeply negative territory.

The intensified sell-off suggests further downside pressure, with the $4,000 level now viewed as a key risk threshold. Traders are closely watching for any catalyst that could trigger a rebound or accelerate losses.
