EUR/USD Slides Toward Year-to-Date Low of 1.1324

The euro failed to find support from a Middle East truce and cheaper oil, with EUR/USD dropping to fresh one-month lows below 1.1360.

EURUSD

The euro continued its decline against the dollar on Tuesday, with bears pushing the pair below 1.1360 to fresh one-month lows. The year-to-date low of 1.1324 is coming into focus, as the single currency finds no reprieve from geopolitical easing or lower energy prices.

A Middle East ceasefire and retreating oil costs were not enough to stem the selling pressure, highlighting the greenback's broad strength. Technically, a break below the 1.1324 floor would open deeper downside targets, while any bounce may face resistance at recent breakdown levels.
