Dow Jones Edges Higher After Record, Ignores Ceasefire Collapse

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.26% to 52,609 on Friday, two sessions after hitting a record 53,333, as markets dismissed news of a second breakdown in the US-Iran ceasefire.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded at 52,609 on Friday, up 0.26%, moving little from its recent record of 53,333 printed two sessions earlier. The modest gain came as traders digested the second collapse of the US-Iran ceasefire, treating the development as a rerun of prior events with limited market impact.

Investors appear to be pricing in continued geopolitical uncertainty without adjusting risk exposure significantly. The index's lack of volatility suggests that the market views the ceasefire setback as largely priced in or expected.
