US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the destruction of a tower, stating that the action directly degrades Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) ability to coordinate attacks against civilian crew members.
The strike also aims to protect freedom of navigation in regional waters for all vessels, with the exception of ships attempting to violate the ongoing US naval blockade against Iran.
