BBH Expects DXY to Retreat into 96–100 Range

Elias Haddad of Brown Brothers Harriman says the US Dollar Index rally has ended and sees it falling back to the 96.00–100.00 area.

DXYUSDJPY

The dollar stabilized following a sharp sell-off that traders suspect was triggered by official USD/JPY intervention. However, Elias Haddad at Brown Brothers Harriman argues that the broader greenback rally since May has now run its course.

According to the note, the DXY is poised to reverse its gains and drift back toward the 96.00–100.00 range. The call implies a notable decline from recent levels, marking a shift from the previous uptrend.

No specific timeline was mentioned, but the forecast reflects a view that prior dollar support has faded.
