IRGC Threatens to Halt Hormuz Oil Exports Amid US Strikes

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that no oil or gas will pass through the Strait of Hormuz if US attacks continue, raising geopolitical risk for global crude supplies.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that oil and gas exports via the Strait of Hormuz will be halted as long as US military attacks persist, according to Iran's Tasnim news agency.

The threat comes amid heightened tensions in the Persian Gulf region. The Strait of Hormuz is a critical chokepoint for global energy shipments, with roughly a fifth of the world's oil passing through it daily.

Markets are likely to react to the increased risk of supply disruption, especially if the situation escalates further.
